Flat number: 6HD (6th floor, with “6HD” above the door).

There are two keys: one for the building’s main entrance on the ground floor (and also for the bike garage), and the key to the door of the flat.

There is a concierge who lives in the flat right next to the building's front door. His day off is Monday. If he comes to say hello (quite likely), feel free to mention that you are staying in 6HD belonging to the Jacobs family.

In case you arrive in the dark: the main electricity switch is to the left of the front door, just below the ceiling. The main water tap is behind a small door in the kitchen wall, next to the cooker. Other detailed practical info is posted on the cupboard doors in the hallway (and here).

The flat is fully equipped, including:

• sheets and towels- no need to bring your own
• washing machine
• iron
• fully stocked kitchen inc. coffee machine, kettle, microwave. NOTE: no oven!
• cleaning equipment

Also there are some long-life goods kept in the kitchen cupboards which are likely to still be usable if you like, e.g. olive oil, dried pasta etc.

For Brits/lovers of strong tea: I try to keep a stock of 'proper' tea bags in the cupboard too, although they tend to get old and dried out. If it's vitally important you might think of bringing a few of your own.
